Introduction
The Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) is a statutory body established under the Rajasthan State Act, 1961 to regulate medical education and professional standards across the state of Rajasthan. The council was officially constituted in 1962 and functions as an autonomous body under the Government of Rajasthan.
RMC is responsible for overseeing all key aspects of medical education in the state, including curriculum standards, examinations, accreditation of medical institutions, and registration of medical professionals.
The council is headed by a Chairman appointed by the Governor of Rajasthan. It consists of 15 members, with 10 members nominated by the state government and 5 members elected from registered undergraduate medical students.
