Basic Eligibility
Passed Class 12 / 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
Must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics.
PES University's current admission page specifies 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry for regular B.Tech admission.
A valid JEE Main or KCET score is required for the applicable B.Tech admission routes. Registration with PES University is also mandatory.
Candidates applying through KCET participate through the Karnataka Government counselling process.
Candidates applying through the PESU Merit JEE Main/KCET route are considered based on their applicable entrance scores through PES University counselling.
PESSAT is discontinued for B.Tech; PES University states that B.Tech admissions are through KCET and JEE Main.
Candidates applying for B.Tech lateral entry must have a recognised 10+3 Engineering Diploma with the required marks. The lateral-entry route is separate from regular B.Tech admission.

Documents Required
For B.Tech admission, PES University uses JEE Main and KCET scores for the applicable admission routes. Candidates must register through the PES University admission portal, update their entrance-exam scores when results are available and participate in the applicable counselling process. PES University has already opened B.Tech 2027 registration, with counselling scheduled during 2027.
Step 1 — Check B.Tech Eligibility
Before applying, check whether you meet the current B.Tech eligibility requirements. Candidates must have passed Class 12 / 10+2 or an equivalent examination with the required science subjects. PES University currently specifies 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry for B.Tech admission.
Also check the admission route you plan to use, as requirements and counselling procedures can differ for JEE Main and KCET candidates.
Step 2 — Register Online
Complete the PES University B.Tech registration through the official admission portal. Enter your personal, academic and contact information carefully and select the applicable entrance route.
For the 2027 admission cycle, PES University has opened B.Tech registration and provides separate options for candidates applying through JEE Main and KCET.
Step 3 — Appear for JEE Main or KCET

Candidates should keep their entrance-exam application details and result documents safely, as these are required during the subsequent admission process.
Step 4 — Update Your Score & Attend Counselling
After the entrance examination results are released, update your JEE Main or KCET score/rank through the PES University admission portal as instructed.
PES University then conducts the applicable B.Tech counselling and seat-allocation process based on the admission route, merit and available seats. KCET candidates also need to follow the applicable Karnataka counselling process.
Step 5 — Accept the Seat & Complete Verification
If you are allotted a B.Tech seat and decide to accept it, follow the university's instructions for confirming the admission.
Complete the required admission forms and attend document verification with the original documents and required photocopies. These may include your Class 10 and Class 12 marks cards, entrance-exam documents, transfer certificate, identity proof and other applicable certificates.
Step 6 — Pay Fees & Confirm Admission
After completing the required verification and admission formalities, pay the applicable B.Tech programme fees within the deadline specified by PES University.
Once the required documents, eligibility conditions and fee payment have been completed, follow the university's instructions regarding admission confirmation, orientation and commencement of classes.
