To be eligible for WBJEE 2026, candidates must fulfill:

  • Nationality: Indian citizen

  • Age: Minimum 17 years old as of 31 December 2025

  • Upper Age Limit: No general upper age limit (but some courses like Marine Engineering may cap at 25 years)

  • Educational Qualification: Passed (or appearing) in 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board

  • Mandatory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics + one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application

  • Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate in the three required subjects (40% for reserved categories)

  • English Requirement: Must have passed English as a subject (often with a minimum 30% marks)
