Application Process
The fees (for WBJEE) are generally structured as:
General Male: ₹500
General Female: ₹400
Reserved / SC / ST / OBC / PWD Male: ₹400
Reserved / SC / ST / OBC / PWD Female: ₹300
Third Gender: ₹300

After the application window closes, there will be a limited correction window (mid-February 2026) during which candidates can modify select fields (not all). Certain critical fields (like name, date of birth) may not be editable.

Eligibility
To be eligible for WBJEE 2026, candidates must fulfill:
Nationality: Indian citizen
Age: Minimum 17 years old as of 31 December 2025
Upper Age Limit: No general upper age limit (but some courses like Marine Engineering may cap at 25 years)
Educational Qualification: Passed (or appearing) in 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board
Mandatory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics + one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application
Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate in the three required subjects (40% for reserved categories)
English Requirement: Must have passed English as a subject (often with a minimum 30% marks)

– Paper II: Physics & Chemistry (combined)

About Exam
Admit cards are likely to be released in mid to late April 2026.
Download from the official portal using your login credentials.
Check all details: name, photograph, exam centre, timings, etc.
On exam day, bring the printed admit card and a valid photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, passport, driver’s license).
Report to the exam centre early and follow all instructions given.
Strictly no mobile phones, calculators, or outside study material allowed in the exam hall.
The provisional answer key is expected in the first week of May 2026.
A window for objections / challenges will follow (second week of May) with a nominal fee per challenge.
After review, the final answer key will be published by mid-May.
Results / rank cards will likely be declared in the last week of May 2026.
The rank card shows marks, total score, and rank. Qualified candidates will move to the counselling stage.
Cut-off is the minimum qualifying score or rank required for admission into a course/institute.

Counselling
Counselling commences soon after result declaration.
Candidates must register for counselling, fill and lock their choices.
Seat allotment is done based on rank, choices, and availability.
