Eligibility Criteria for SRMJEEE 2026

✓ Nationality:

  • Indian residents (Indian citizens)

  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders issued by Government of India

  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders issued by Government of India

Note: NRIs, PIO, OCI cardholders who have not taken SRMJEEE must apply under International Student category only

✓ Age Limit:

  • Candidates should have attained minimum 16 years and 6 months of age by 31 July 2026

  • For candidates appearing in Class 12 Board examination in 2026, age should be 16 years and 6 months by 31 July 2026

  • No upper age limit specified

✓ Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed Class 12 / 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, International Boards)

  • OR appearing in Class 12 Board examination in March/April 2026 (results awaited candidates eligible)

  • Recognized boards include CBSE, ICSE, all State Boards, IB, Cambridge, etc.

✓ Subject Requirements:
For B.Tech Programs:

  • Physics (compulsory subject)

  • Chemistry (compulsory subject)

  • Mathematics (compulsory for all engineering branches except Biotechnology/Biomedical/Genetic Engineering)

  • Biology (acceptable for Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Genetic Engineering instead of Mathematics)

✓ Minimum Marks Criteria:
For Kattankulathur (Chennai), Ramapuram, Vadapalani Campuses:

  • General Category: Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) combined

  • SC/ST/OBC Categories: Relaxation as per Tamil Nadu government norms

  • For Biotech/Biomedical/Genetic Engineering: 60% in PCM or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

For Delhi-NCR (Ghaziabad) and Sonepat (Haryana) Campuses:

  • All Categories: Minimum 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) combined

For Tiruchirappalli and Andhra Pradesh Campuses:
